Black Bob Mature Cheddar Cheese Creamy Dreamy Pasta

Once you have tasted this creamy cheesy pasta you will never buy a jar of pre-prepared pasta sauce again. It is creamy and cheesy with a burst of tomato and herby goodness, use your favourite dried herbs to create your own unique version.

Serves 2-4

Ingredients

• 200g The Cheshire Cheese Company Black Bob Mature Cheddar
• 350g Fusilli Pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
• 3 tablespoons of Cheshire butter
• 300g sundried tomatoes
• 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
• 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
• 500ml double cream
• A handful of fresh basil, roughly chopped
• 3 tablespoons of mixed herbs of your choice, we have used basil, oregano and crushed chilli
• Salt and pepper to season

Method

Start by adding the pasta to a saucepan of boiling water and cook until soft and tender for around 10 minutes.

Drain and rinse with cool water and keep to one side.

Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the crushed garlic, cook for around 3 minutes until the garlic is soft.

Add the sundried tomatoes and stir. Next, add the tomato puree and herbs.

Pour in the cream and season with salt and pepper.

Add the chopped basil and stir again.

Add the grated Black Bob Mature Cheddar Cheese and stir until the cheese has melted.

Next, add the cool drained pasta and cook until the pasta is hot.
