Easy Vintage Gold Cheese Straws

These flaky, crispy puff pasty straws are so cheesy and moreish. Perfectly paired with homemade soup or with your favourite dip.

Preheat your oven to 190C / Gas Mark 5

Unroll the puff pastry and sprinkle the cheese on one half of the pastry sheet.

Fold the pastry over in half and gently press down with a rolling pin.

Cut the cheese into strips of around 1.5cm. Pinch the opposite ends of one strip and twist in the opposite direction 3-4 times, and place on a baking tray lined with paper.

Coat each strip with egg wash and bake for 20 minutes until crispy and golden.
