Jamaican Jerk Cheese Mango Salsa Canapés

These tasty canapés are so tasty and moreish. Full of Jamaican jerk flavouring, this cooling sweet salsa is the perfect accompaniment to these melted cheese canapés.

Serves 2-4 (makes 24 canapés) 

Ingredients

For the canapés:

For the salsa:

  • 2 whole avocados sliced and diced
  • 1 whole mango, sliced and diced
  • 2 red chillies, thinly sliced and chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 red onion, sliced and chopped
  • A handful of coriander roughly chopped

Method

To make the canapés:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C / 350 F

Slice the tortilla wraps into 8 slices per wrap, to make a total of 24 canapés.

Cut the Jamaican Jerk Cheese Truckle into quarters and then each quarter into a quarter again to make 24 triangles of cheese.

Add the tortilla to the baking tray and push down.

Add cheese to each canape.

Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the wraps are golden brown.

 

In the meantime, make the salsa:

Cut the mango into small diced cubed and repeat for the mango.

Add the mango and avocado to a bowl.

Add the chilli and onion and squeeze lime juice into the bowl.

Add a handful of coriander and stir.

Serve by adding the salsa to the canapés. Enjoy!
