Our vintage smashed potatoes are a perfect accompaniment to any summer BBQ, mid-week dinner or simply as a Saturday night snack. Enjoy with your favourite dips, such as sour cream and chive, BBQ sauce or ketchup.

Method

Take a baking tray and line it with parchment paper.

Boil the mini potatoes for around 20 minutes or until cooked through.

When the potatoes are tender, drain and crush with the back of a spoon and add a pinch of garlic powder and a drizzle of olive oil.

Grate the cheese and sprinkle generously over the smashed potatoes.

Preheat the oven to 200C/ gas mark six and cook for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

Add your favourite herbs or a further sprinkle of salt to taste.
